Dreams Can Come True: Watch the New Book Trailer

Some stories are meant to be seen as well as read.

That’s why I’m delighted to share something I’ve been working on behind the scenes: a cinematic video trailer for Dreams Can Come True, the first book in The Financial Fairy Tales series.

You can watch it below.

Bringing the story to life

When I wrote Dreams Can Come True, I wanted children to feel something about money, not just learn about it. Facts and figures rarely stick with young minds. Stories do. They settle in the imagination and quietly shape how a child sees the world, and their place in it.

The trailer takes that idea one step further. Through music, movement and imagery, it captures the heart of the story in under a minute: the sense of possibility, the spark of a dream taking shape, and the belief that with the right mindset and a little know-how, wonderful things can happen.

Watching the characters and scenes come alive on screen was a genuinely moving moment for me. The book has lived in my head and on the page for years. Seeing it in motion, with all the colour and atmosphere of a film trailer, reminded me exactly why these stories matter.

Why stories about money matter

The Financial Fairy Tales exist for one simple reason: children deserve to grow up with a healthy, confident relationship with money.

Most of us were never taught about money as children. We picked up our beliefs by accident, from overheard conversations, family habits and playground myths. Too often, those beliefs were rooted in fear or scarcity, and they followed us into adulthood.

I believe we can do better for the next generation.

Each story in the series carries an empowering message wrapped in adventure and imagination. Themes like setting goals, the value of saving, the rewards of effort and the courage to dream big. Not lectures. Not worksheets. Just timeless tales that plant healthy seeds early, so children grow up seeing money as a tool for freedom rather than a source of worry.

Dreams Can Come True sets the tone for the whole series. It’s a story about believing in yourself, taking action and discovering that dreams are not just wishes, they are plans waiting to happen.

A new way to share the message

Video opens the door to a whole new audience. A trailer can be shared in seconds, shown in a classroom, played at bedtime or passed between parents and teachers. If it sparks one conversation between a child and a grown-up about dreams, goals or money, it has done its job.

This is just the beginning. There are more stories in The Financial Fairy Tales series, each with its own message and its own magic, and I’d love to bring them to the screen too.
